Very beautiful Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTC. The Sprint GT was a huge success for Alfa Romeo and was produced for more than 14 years, until 1977. This is an original GTC Touring convertible. Only 998 copies were produced between 1964-1966. And that makes this the rarest variant of the Giulietta/Giulia family.
The bodywork is beautiful, has sleek sheet metal and beautiful paintwork. The chrome trim parts and details are particularly beautiful. The interior is like new, as is the black soft-top. Of course the underside is like new and completely rust-free. In short, a rare Alfa Romeo Touring convertible in restored condition.
Based on the Giulia Sprint GT and designed/restyled by Carrozzeria Touring from Milan with a modified trunk lid, larger trunk, different rear lights and a soft-top that folds behind the rear backrest. During production, Carrozzeria Touring was already experiencing financial problems. Shortly after production of the GTC, Touring stopped.
This specimen was new delivered in Italy, in Bardi. In 1984 it was exported to the Uk were it stayed in the careful hands of its second owner, Mr Giuseppe J. Our Dutch customer bought the car in 2015 and didn’t spare any cost to give the car a thorough restoration (documented with a lot of pictures).
