The Jaguar MKV was presentedf at the 1948 London Motor Show . It was available as both a four-door Saloon (sedan) and a two-door convertible known as the Drop Head Coupé, both versions seating five adults.
Using a new – very rigid- Jaguar designed chassis with independent front suspension, hydraulically controlled brakes and with the existing pushrod 6-cylinder engines, the sculptured body was styled like the prewar cars but with flowing wings, flared in headlights and a better standard of trim.
