About this car

The MB 230SL developped by Fritz Nallinger and his team was introduced in March 1963.
 
The aim was creating a very safe and fast sportscar with high performance, which despite its sports characteristics, provides a very high degree of traveling comfort.
 
The 2308 cc (2,3L) inline-6 enginewith 150 HP was based on MB M180 inline-6 with 4 main bearings and a mechanical fuel injection.

Production started in June 1963, between 1963 and 1967 19.831 230SL’s were built. Production year of the car we offer for sale is 1965. This one is a matching-number car and a full restoration report is available. 

Simplicity = timeless

 

This sample, bought from its first and only Dutch owner before restoration, was extensively restored in this beautiful grey (antrazitgrau) paint that combines very nicely with all chrome accessories and the deep red leather upholstery. The color combination is simply perfect and timeless.
The car is both, optically and technically, in top condition.
